Responsible Firearm Owners

Not just the next step in owning a firearm, but a path.

Rules of Training

It is necessary to respect the way in which the instructor of the class directs the training. Receive instruction and carry out suggestions for training sincerely and to the best of your ability. There is no room for argument on the mat, or the range.

It is the moral responsibility of each student never to use martial technique or firearm to harm another person, or as a way to display his or her ego. It is a tool to develop a better society through the character development of the individual.

There will be no conflicts of ego on the mat, or the range. The shared knowledge by RFO is not street fighting or firearm theatrics. We are on the mat, and the range, to train and develop a more responsible behavior from our aggressive reactions and embody the spirit of our founding fathers, and the warrior spirit of the samurai, by discovering our social responsibility.

There will be no competition on the mat, or the range other than those times designated. The purpose of RFO is not to fight and defeat an enemy, but to fight and defeat our own aggressive instincts.

The strength of RFO is not in muscular force, but in flexibility, timing, control and modesty. Be aware of your limitations, and respect others as you respect yourself.

Everyone has different physical abilities and reasons for training. These must be respected. True warrior spirit is the proper and flexible application of technique appropriate to any changing situation. It is our responsibility to cause no injury to our training partner or ourselves. It is extremely important to be aware of our environment and the conditions of those things within it, as well as our firearm.

There will be no power struggles within the training environment. RFO membership is one that promotes respect, courtesy, and honor.
